9H - the capsule hotel
9 Hours or “9H” is a capsule hotel that opened in Kyoto in December 2009 and they can offer you a place to stay for, 9 hours. The stylish hotel was designed by Japanese designers including Humie Shibata, Masaaki Hiromura, Takaaki Nakamura and Hiroshi Mitui. The 9 hours consists of 2 hours of prep and 7 hours of sleep. The hotel includes a lounge area, a space to eat and drink, and i’m assuming wi-fi access. In each capsule there is also a “room panel” that allows you to adjust the room environment. If you aren’t claustrophobic and you’re going to Kyoto I would consider “9H” as a cool place to stay.
